Popular music director Amresh Ganesh arrested in shocking case

Veteran actress Jayachithra's son Amresh Ganesh who is himself an actor turned music director has reportedly been arrested for masterminding a scam in which a man lost 26.2 Crores.
Actress Jayachithra was one of the leading heroines of South India in the seventies starring alongside many top stars such as Jaishankar, Muthuraman, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth among others. Her son Amresh Ganesh made his debut as hero in the 2010 film 'Naane Ennul Illai' which did not fare well at the box office. He later debuted as music director and scored for a few movies 'Naane Ennul Illai', 'Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva', 'Bhaskar Oru Rascal', 'Charlie Chaplin 2', 'Pottu' and 'Sathru'.
It is said that Amresh and his associates became friends with one Nedumaran who owns bungalows and studios that he rents out to the film industry since 2013. Nedumaran has alleged that Amresh and his friends promised to deliver a Temple Kalasam made of pure Iridium and procured Rs. 26.2 Crores promising to return an unbelievable rupees two and a half lakh crores. He had also allegedly shown forged documents to suggest that the iridium was tested and certified by a Canadian organization.
The police based on the complaint from Nedumaran on Tuesday arrested Amresh Ganesh and produced him to a judicial magistrate who ordered his remand into custody. It is said that the accused persons had admitted to the scam. The arrest of the popular music director belonging to a prominent family in South India in such as scam has shocked Kollyood.
