‘Right from childhood I have watched my ‘Amma’ Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar always busy and active’ – not wasting time and developing the habit of reading my mother is no doubt the source of inspiration for me to take up production. I have never seen my mother sitting idle. As a matter of fact the cinema business I have learnt from my mother – This is Power star Puneeth Rajakumar speaking to a few media friends soon after muhurut of his first production in PRK banner.
 
PRK is nothing but Parvathamma Rajakumar says Puneeth Rajakumar although it precisely suits to his name also. His wife Smt Ashwini is official producer.  As my thought was always for utilizing advanced technology in cinema and getting in to quality films, production nuances were taught to me by my mother. She had produced nearly 82 films. Reach 100 mark in my mother evolved production house is my intention observes Puneeth Rajakumar.
‘Kavalu Daari’ script from Hemanth Rao impressed me to take up production. He has made a unique screenplay and I had seen his ‘Godi Banna Sadarana Maikattu’ cinema. We have discussed on the film ‘Kavalu Daari’ script several times and launched it.

After the launch of the new banner PRK, the producers of Kannada cinema industry need not feel that I would not act in other banners. I am very much open to any producer with good subjects.

From commercial films super star launch of a new banner and production of a non commercial cinema is what Puneeth Rajakumar not wants to differentiate. There is no such commercial or art category. It is the reach that is very important. Films like ‘Ondu Motteya Kathe, Raajakumara, Godi Banna Sadarana Maikattu’ reached all category of audience is Puneeth observation.

As a hero my colleagues in the industry Sudeep and Darshan also produced films. In my family I was part of the production for a long time. The evolution of PRK banner is not just encouraging the newcomers but to encourage the best talent. In the next year under PRK banner I am part of the cast disclosed Puneeth Rajakumar.
