It was yesterday that, the audience were happy to see 'Sholay' movie stars to share the stage together. Iconic star Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and filmmaker Ramesh Sippy had come together to launch Hema Malini's new album titled- Dream Girl`. When Hema was asked about her feelings towards it, she said: "I was excited to sing those two Bengali songs, which I had recorded for Kishor-da long back" I've been a dancer, an actress but today I can`t believe as a singer I am in front of you, which I never thought of".
Hema Malini has sung duet songs like, "Aji suniye to zara, kya hai manjra" with Supriyo, also two Bengali songs which she had originally recorded for Kishor Kumar. The album 'Dream Girl' has been composed by ace singer Babul Supriyo. On this excited Amitabh said, "Jaya was saying Hema ji works so much, we don`t work at all. She is in politics, goes to the Parliament, does dance, now she`s singing too.. We don't do anything. I want to assure you after today, even we will do something like this".
To the fans surprise, Dharmendra recited a poem written by him and congratulated Hema on the launch. Then, Hema opened up saying; she wanted to sing a song written by Dharmendra with Bachchan. WOW!! Then that song would be a treat to all fans for a life time, hope it happened soon.
