"Shanti Constructions - main iss naam ko aasmaan par likha dekhna chahta hoon.." This is one of the many iconic lines said by Big B in his legendary cult ‘Trishul’ helmed by Yash Chopra.

Recently when India’s most recognized face, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan rang the opening bell at the Bombay Stock Exchange to promote TV show 'Yudh' and Shanti Constructions, the name of the fictional company he heads on the show, a nostalgic dive took everyone to 1978 film 'Trishul'.

Shanti Constructions is also the name of the company Mr Bachchan owns in 'Trishul'. In the movie Mr. Bachchan names his company after his mother and uses it to seek revenge from his father.

According to Mr. Bachchan it was filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's idea, who serves as creative director on Yudh, to borrow the name from 'Trishul'.

Mr Bachchan plays a construction baron in the show, his first foray into small screen fiction. Shanti Constructions has also been 'listed' on the BSE.

So we end by another iconic line from ‘Trishul’ which goes like ‘Mein Aa raha hu Mr. R.K. Gupta.’ (read as Amitabh Bachchan declaring “I am coming on small screen fiction folks”).
