Amitabh Bachchan's 2002 thriller 'Aankhen' was a very unique and successful film at the time of its release. It had an ensemble cast which included Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal and Sushmita Sen in addition to Amitabh Bachchan. The compelling plot and unforseen twists made it a good watch. Apparently, fans were excited when it was announced that makers are planning for a sequel with Big B reprising his role from the original.
The new cast reportedly included Siddharth Malhotra, Akshay Khanna and Sunil Grover. However, the latest reports suggest that Mr Bachchan and Siddharth have opted out of the project.
A source told Mid Day, “In the past two months, there was little progress on the impending schedule. Since the film was taking longer than expected to go on floors, Bachchan saab and Sidharth could no longer put their other projects on hold and graciously bowed out of the movie. Sidharth will be tied up for the next few months with Mission Majnu and Thank God while Bachchan saab started shooting for Goodbye."
