Amitabh Bachchan to step into Marathi screens?!

Buzz is that Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is being considered for an imposing role in a Marathi venture.

Earlier it was mentioned that Marathi director Vinay Apte is coming up with a film that will be based on the life of legendary King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film in fact is being backed up by Shivaji Maharaj’s descendant Malojiraje.

In this one, sources say that, Big B will feature as Shivaji’s father Shahaji Bhonsle. Meanwhile Gulshan Grover said have been signed on to play Adil Shah, the baddie character. However, nothing is finalised as of now and the production unit is still on lookout for a fresh face to play Shivaji Maharaj.

The movie is expected to start its shooting schedule from October.
