While director Shankar is busy with what all it takes to bring Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger on board to play the lead villain role in his 'Enthiran 2' with Superstar Rajinikanth, here comes a news that Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is likely to play an important role in the mega budget sequel to the 2010 blockbuster sci-fi entertainer 'Enthiran'.

Reliable sources reveal that Shankar has approached the Big B to persuade him to take up a role in the film and the latter has reportedly given a nod to share screen space with Rajinikanth.

Amitabh has been an inspiration for Rajini himself and the latter has many times in the past expressed his reverence for the Bollywood legendary actor. The duo have acted together in a few Hindi films and the last film they shared the screen space was the Hindi film 'Geraftaar' that released in 1985.

it is worth recalling that Amitabh's daughter-in-law and actress Aishwarya Rai played the lead heroine role opposite Rajinikanth in 'Enthiran'.

Meanwhile, the pre-production work for 'Enthiran 2' which will have Amy Jackson as the lead heroine is on full swing and we can expect an official announcement about the project on December 12 which is the 65th birthday of Rajinikanth.
