Actor Amitabh Bachchan just discussed his next movie, *Kalki 2898 AD*. In a Thursday night blog post, Amitabh commended Nag Ashwin, the film's director, and brought attention to robot Bujji. Introducing Bujji in a video, Amitabh said, "Bujji, the miracle, has been launched... Director Nag Ashwin is responsible for the technology of *KALKI 2898 AD*. It is amazing how he came up with and carried out this concept."
Working on such initiatives, you never know what the end results would be," he said. You marvel how the director thought of everything as the days go by and the snippets and finer aspects become apparent. The respect never wanes. I'm in awe and gratitude as I wrap up today."
The makers of the science fiction dystopian movie released a sneak peek of Amitabh Bachchan's look last month during an Indian Premier League (IPL) game between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 21-second teaser had Amitabh sitting in a cave and worshipping a bandaged Shiva linga. "Are you God, can't you die?," a small child in the video wonders. Just who are you? I have waited for the Dasavatar, Dronacharya's Ashwatthama, since the Dwapar Yug, says Amitabh's character.
Starring with Kamal Haasan are Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in *Kalki 2898 AD*. Keerthy Suresh's vocal little robot Bujji is brain-controlled and looks to be an intriguing addition to the movie. The mythologically-inspired, future-set film is scheduled to open in theaters on June 27.
