Amitabh Bachchan shared a cryptic post after Rahul Gandhi made controversial remarks about him and his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Videos of Gandhi discussing Amitabh and Aishwarya at a rally went viral.
While Amitabh has yet to respond to the comments, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a post about his activities. Big B revealed he was focusing on his physical and mental health while setting everything else aside.
“T 4929 – time for work out .. mobility of the body .. flexibility of the mind .. all else can wait ..” Amitabh Bachchan posted. He also shared a blog post revealing that he was traveling for work after a long time. “Work travel after long .. absence from the base after long .. not being able to be at the GOJ on the Sunday after long .. feels incomplete .. BUT .. Life goes on ..” Big B wrote.
“And the desire to continue should never fade .. or so the pundits and the wise keep advising .. and the reality is something else .. but still we linger and make effort .. and with the push and support of the wellwishers .. You all are relentless , filled with the grace and energy that walks beside me .. giving me hope and courage .. May I live up to it .. is the prayer .. ever .. My love and my gratitude .. always,” he added in the blog.
The veteran superstar hasn’t issued a statement or reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s statement about him. For the unversed, the Congress leader is on a Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and has been hosting rallies across the country.
During one of his rallies, Rahul mocked Bollywood and named Aishwarya along with Amitabh in his speech. The political leader was talking about the Ram Mandir launch, highlighting the absence of invitations to Dalits, backward classes, and even the President, labeling it as an insult to these sections of society.
“By inviting industrialists and Amitabh Bachchan to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, Modi gave the message that the country’s 73 percent of people has no importance,” Gandhi remarked at a gathering in Lalganj Indira Chowk, Rampur Khas Assembly constituency. In a separate rally, Rahul said, “Aishwarya will be seen dancing and Bachchan saab will do a Balle Balle!”
His statements were criticized by many social media users, including singer Sona Mohapatra. She called him out for demeaning women.
