The buzz around Nag Ashwin's upcoming science-fiction flick "Kalki 2898 AD" only seems to grow with each passing day, more so after the announcement of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan in its cast ensemble. In the movie, Bachchan will portray the immortal Ashwatthama, a role that excites his fans.
A yellow-dressed Bachchan, featured in a teaser promo shared by Star Sports, is seen in what looks like a cave, praying before a Shiva linga. He calls out to Bachchan and asks him his name, to which he promptly says he is Ashwatthama, the son of Guru Drona.
Bachchan also shared his unique experience working for the film on his social media account. He emphasized that innovative concepts, modern technology, and the brilliant cast he got to work with had all been fantastic and one-of-a-kind.
"Kalki 2898 AD" features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Prabhas portrays the character of Bhairava in the movie's most recent poster, which debuted on Maha Shivaratri. Scheduled for release on May 9, the film will hold the viewers spellbound with a gripping script that takes them back in time to 2898 AD—a beautifully seamless concoction of Indian culture with a world beyond the stars.
