There are several projects inspired by the mythological epic Ramayan under production these days and one of them has roped in the Megastar Amitabh Bachchan as well. Apart from his commendable screen presence, Big B is known for his deep baritone vocie and he's going to lend the same for the soundtrack of the upcoming MX Player show, 'Ramyug' directed by Kunal Kohli.
Mr Bachchan recited Hanuman Chalisa for a track in the show which featured Ustad Zakir Hussain playing tabla. A teaser of the same was shared by MX Player on Twitter and the raw energy of the track was enough to induce goosebumps. Few years ago, Kunal Kohli announced that he will adapt Ramayan a movie titled 'Ramyug' but now it seems like the project has been developed as an MX Player series. However, it was smart to get Amitabh Bachchan attached to the project as it gave the series some necessary hype and buzz.
Other projects based on Hindu mythological epics are Om Raut's 'Adipurush', KV Vijayendra's 'Sita', and a Ramayan trilogy by Nitesh Tiwari.
