Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai after testing negative for COVID 19 bringing huge cheer to the millions of his fans around the world. Abhishek Bachchan has officially stated on Twitter "My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him"

However,Abhishek himself has to continue treatment and has shared "I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise".

On July 11th Abhishek shared the news "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan who also tested positive stayed at home quarantine for a few days but had to be moved to the same hospital and were discharged on July 27th.
