And finally the big day is here and the wait is also over as ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ trailer is out. After teasing us with amazing motion posters of the characters – Amitabh Bachchan as Khudabaksh, Katrina Kaif as Suraiyya, Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira, Lloyd Owen as John Clive and finally our very own Aamir Khan as Firangi, the makers have released the video on this day as it also marks the birth anniversary of Yash Raj Films' founder, Yash Chopra.
The 3-minute 33 seconds long trailer opens with an intense scene from 1795 where a voice narrates why The East India Company had actually arrived in India. They were said to have come to India for the main purpose to trade, but is now ruling the nation. So Azaad (Amitabh), a Hindustani is determined to liberate his country. As Azaad appears as a threat to the Britishers, they hire the biggest thug, Firangi (Aamir) to stop him. From Firangi’s one-liners to his body-language to his dance moves, you shouldn’t be missing them. Firangi, later, takes the side of Azaad but in the end did he really switch sides? Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is based on a novel called ‘Confessions of a Thug’ by Philip Meadows Taylor and is set in the 1830s.
