The Indian union home minister Amit Shah has tested positive for the coronavirus and has been admitted to a private hospital in the capital Delhi. Shah becomes the most prominent politician to be infected by the deadly virus that has spread to a staggering 17 lakhs people in India and has claimed the lives of 37,364 people at the time of this writing.

Amit Shah has shared on Twitter in Hindi that his health is ok and he is getting hospitalized due to the advice of his doctors after experiencing COVID 19 symptoms. He has further requested all those who came in contact with him for the past few days to take precautionary measures and isolate themselves and get tested.
