Amit Shah asks how Karnataka spent Centre's developmental funds

BJP national president Amit Shah has asked the Siddaramaiah-led Congress Government in Karnataka to explain the manner in which it spent Rs.2.90 lakh crores of developmental funds provided by the BJP-led Centre during the past three years.
The BJP launched its 'Parivartana Rally' ('Rally for Change') in Bangalore yesterday with an eye on the Assembly polls due to be held in the State early next year. Shah took part in the event and inaugurated the rally. The erstwhile UPA regime at the Centre provided Rs.88,583 crores to the State during its 10-year long regime at the Centre from 2004-2014.
The BJP-led Centre, however, provided Rs.2.90 lakh crores for the same purpose in just three years since it took over at the Centre in May, 2014. The fate of Rs.1.30 lakh crores out of the above-said funds remains unknown to anybody. It is not sure whether the State Govt. spent it for the sake of the State's development; Siddaramaiah hasn't provided to the people the details of the Centre’s financial assistance.
6,521 murders and 3,102 incidents of rape have taken place under Siddaramaiah’s regime. The BJP has commenced its ‘Parivarthana’ rally merely to unseat the Congress from power. The rally would go to all the places in the State and connect with the booth-level cadres. It would also inform the people about the irregularities committed by the Congress Govt.” Shah concluded.
