Actress Amisha Patel paid a tribute to Bollywood's ethereal beauty Madhubala by performing on Lata Mangeshkar's classic song "Pyaar kiya to darna kya" from "Mughal-E-Azam" at the 36th International Film Festival of India in Goa.

Designer Neeta Lulla had specially designed a white 'lehenga' and a gold sequence embroidered 'dupatta' for the occasion, reports Bollywood Trade.

The theme of the special act was 'Evolution of Cinema from Black and White to Colour'.

Asked about her performance, she said: "Keeping in mind the theme, I thought of paying a tribute to one of the most pristine beauties of Indian cinema, Madhubala. It was one of my most wonderful experiences in enacting the classical beauty."

Amisha, who also attended the world premiere of Ketan Mehta's "The Rising" (English version), says: "This was the first screening and I was so excited to see the reaction of the international delegates."
