Amid third wave fears, superstar vehicles lock release dates

The third wave of coronavirus may strike anytime. But the uncertainty is not stopping some producers/distributors to lock the release dates of a few of the most-awaited films in their respective industries.
On Thursday, the makers of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' confirmed that the film will hit the screens on November 4 for Diwali. There is a buzz that Ajith's 'Valimai' (Tamil)), too, will be a Diwali release.

The other day, when an official update on Rajamouli's 'RRR' came about, the accompanying poster said that the Jr NTR-Ram Charan movie will release on October 13. Barring two songs, the entire shoot of the movie is over.
There are unfounded rumours that 'KGF 2' will arrive at the cinemas in September. But this could be a false rumour as things stand. It's more likely that 'Radhe Shyam' will arrive without fail this year.
Even as the cloud of uncertainty looms large over the exhibition sector, biggies are slowly firming up release dates either behind the curtains or otherwise. While most of them might not adhere to the announced dates because of the pandemic, it's somewhat of a relief that they are at least ready to take their products to the audience if the pandemic recedes in a significant way.
