Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, actor Manikandan Achari had earlier announced that he would have a simple wedding, which was on April 26. As promised the versatile actor tied the knot with Anjali, a day ago. Following the lockdown protocols, the wedding was held in the presence of very close family members at a temple in Tripunithura. Everyone who attended the wedding made sure that the norms of social distancing were maintained and wore masks too.

The actor had earlier mentioned that the money he had kept aside for the wedding will be donated to the chief minister’s relief fund for the cause of coronavirus. Local CPI-M Legislator M. Swaraj attended the wedding and collected Manikandan's contribution.

After the wedding, Manikandan said, "We will overcome Covid-19. We are happy to contribute to the relief fund and we aren't upset that our wedding wasn't a grand one."

Manikandan Achari a popular actor in Malayalam cinema made his Tamil debut in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj. His next Malayalam release is 'Thuramukam' starring Nivin Pauly.
