It seems that ‘Bhaag Milkh Bhaag’ is not only a glory in India but also has grabbed attention abroad. The movie has amazed American sprint star Carl Lewis. So much so that the star runner, who has won nine Olympic sprint golds, got hold of Milkha’s number and called him up on Monday night.

"Yes that’s true. Lewis called me today. He saw the movie with an Indian fan and was impressed with it. He said he was moved by that fact that I went on to represent my country in such difficult circumstances. He wanted to send me a gift and asked for my postal address," Milkha said.

Farhan Akhtar, who portrayed the lead role of Milkha in the biopic, also posted a tweet confirming the call to the Indian sprinter from America. "Wow!! Milkha-ji got a call from Carl Lewis today after watching @BMBThefilm," he tweeted.

"I don’t know how he arranged my Chandigarh’s number. That’s really nice of him," added Milkha, the Flying Sikh, who is best known for his heartbreaking fourth place finish in the close 400m final in the 1960 Olympics.

Released on 12th July, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ also stars Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta and Prakash Raj among others.
