Hugh Hefner, founder of the iconic Playboy magazine, passed away at the age of 91 at his Playboy Mansion. His health was declining since some time and he is said to have passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at home in Los Angeles.
Hefner had found a revolutionary way of monetising the appeal of sex by introducing Playboy to the world. He gradually built his company and later constructed his 22,000 square feet home called the Playboy Mansion in the Holmby Hills neighbourhood in Los Angeles. It soon became a well-known party house for Hollywood's elite and one had to be lucky to get an invitation. The mansion was sold for roughly Rs. 658 cr. and, as per the deal, "Hef" could stay there for as long as he was alive.
