After staying away from the silver screen for a while, actress Ameesha Patel is all set to make a comeback with the film 'Gadar 2' which is a sequel to her iconic 2001 film 'Gadar' where she shared screen with Sunny Deol. The project has already went on floor and Ameesha is super excited to reprise her role as Sakina.

In a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, the actress said, "It feels wonderful to be back on such a historic film. Actually, it is surreal to get back to play the character of Sakina along with Tara Singh."

Talking about the 20 year gap between both the stories, Ameesha Patel said, "It doesn't seem like 20 years to me. Sakina is part of my blood, so getting into the skin of the character didn't require any effort. She is so lovable and pure. Even while doing Gadar, I felt that she is an extension of me, so it is very simple for me."

Couple weeks ago, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel shared a few snaps from the inauguration shot of the film. There characters Tara Singh and Sakina looked like they've barely aged in last two decades.
