Ameer Khan's 'Dangal' which had collected above Rs.1 crore in its first weekend continued the same form in the second with one crore (Rs.1,06,23, 410) collection and a phenomenal 90% occupancy. this becomes the first Hindi movie in Chennai to have collected above one crore in two consecutive weekends.
The total collection of the film directed by Nitesh Tiwari has crossed Rs.2.9 crores in Chennai in ten days of release. This is the highest collections made by an Hindi film in Chennai Box office.
The film has remained at the top of CBO for two consecutive weeks, which is also an unprecedented achievement for an Hindi film in Chennai.
