Denying charges levelled against him that he was behind the alleged disruption posed to the shooting of Karthi starrer 'Alex Pandian', Ameer said he was in no way connected to the issue. "This is a deliberate attempt to spoil my reputation," he said.

The shooting of 'Alex Pandian', directed by Suraj, was going on in full swing near Pallavaram and apparently FEFSI members applied a break to the shooting, demanding that Ameer be settled his royalty for the Telugu dubbed version of 'Paruthiveeran'.

KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green is the producer of 'Paruthiveeran' and 'Alex Pandian', it is to be noted. After the shooting was disrupted, the Producers Council was informed and its office-bearers stepped in to make peace.

Meanwhile, reacting to the charge against him, Ameer said, "This is an attempt to spoil my image and to prevent me from taking part in the wage revision talks. I am in no way connected to the issue and I am ready to prove this."
