Rebel star Ambarish the sitting Member of Parliament has at last filed his nomination papers from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency his home town on a Congress-I ticket. After dilly dallying finally Ambarish has given nod to contest. He got the B form required for filing of nominations to his house in JP Nagar Bangalore. On Thursday morning the noted film star of over 200 films and former minister of Union government Ambarish was accompanied by his close friend and superstar of Kannada cinema Dr. Vishnuvardhana his wife Bharathi Vishnuvardhana and actress wife of Ambarish Smt. Sumalatha.

In the assets declaration Ambarish is poorer than his wife. Ambarish has submitted that he has properties worth Rs.1.04 crores plus his wife Sumalatha Ambarish is worth Rs.1.82 crore assets. Ambarish is fighting Shivarame Gowda of BJP. The battle is said to be very close.

The sitting member of legislative Assembly, actor cum producer C.P. Yogishwar shifting his loyalty from Congress-I to BJP is contesting against the former chief minister HD Kumarawamy from the Bangalore rural seat. HD Kumaraswamy former CM is also a filmy personality. He is the producer, distributor and exhibitor of Kannada cinema.

Actor Shashikumar former MP from Chitradurga did not get ticket this time to contest the elections.
