Ambati Rayudu, the well-known cricketer who plays for Hyderabad in domestic cricket and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL), came in for high praise from T Harish Rao on Thursday.
The TRS leader and Telangana Finance Minister said that Rayudu was the first one to part with 1.5 acres of his land for the construction of canals as part of the prestigious Kaleshwaram Project. On the eve of KCR's birthday, an event was held in Siddipet to flag off the KCR Cricket Trophy. The Kaleshwaram Project, as is known, is one of KCR's flagship projects.
On the occasion, Rayudu and Natural Star Nani were present. "Rayudu is a great cricketer. There is no Telanganite who doesn't know of him. He knows every nook and corner of Siddipet," Harish Rao said.
While many already knew about Rayudu's large-hearted gesture, the Minister making it public has spread the news like wildfire. On social media, posters and posts have been circulated lauding his noble gesture.
