Rebel star the sitting member of Parliament Ambarish is playing the role of Madkari Nayaka one of the prominent rulers of Chitradurga district in the yesteryears. His wife Sumalatha also a top actress of South India is playing Mrs.Madakari Nayaka in 'Kallarali Hoovagi'.

'Kallarali Hoovagi' a period cinema taken by top director T.S.Nagabharana went on the floors at Chitradurga on Friday. Dynamic hero Devraj is playing the role of Hyder Ali while Vijaya Raghavendra and Uma (popular Tamil actress who made debut in 'Uppi Daada MBBS) play lead roles.

Madhu Bangarappa is producing this film with lot of care and interest. H.C.Venu is the cameraman of this film.
