Amazon Prime's political thriller 'Tandav' has been surrounded by controversy a few days after it's release. The show which showcases the power struggle in the politics is being criticised by BJP leaders for "insulting Hindu Gods goddesses." BJP MLA Ram Kadam filed an FIR against the makers, actors and director of the show for hurting religious sentiments.
Referring to the scenes that "mocked" Lord Shiva, Kadam demanded actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub to publically apologise. He also wrote to I&B minister Prakash Javadekar to set up a censor board to review and control the content regulated by the OTTs like Amazon Prime and Netflix.
Starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Kumud Mishra, Zeeshan Ayub, Sunil Grover and others, 'Tandav' is streaming on Amazon Prime.
