Amazon Prime Video announces its slate of upcoming Tamil web shows!

Amazon Prime Video announced its slate of upcoming web shows in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The streaming platform also announced the return of existing titles and fresh projects in Hindi which includes Vijay Sethupathi and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Farzi’ series, made by Raj & DK of ‘The Family Man’ fame. 

The new Tamil and Telugu projects announced are: 

1. Suzhal 

Suzhal is directed by Bramma and Anucharan. Produced by Pushkar & Gayathri’s Wallwatcher Films, it stars Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthiban and Sriya Reddy. 

2. The Village 

The Village, based on the graphic novel of the same name, stars Arya, Divya Pillai, Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, Muthukumar, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram. This show is directed by Milind Rau of ‘Aval’ and ‘Netrikann’ fame. 

3. Vadhandhi 

Vadhandhi is a noir thriller directed by Andrew Louis and produced by Pushkar & Gayathri’s Wallwatcher Films. The series stars SJ Suryah, Nasser, Laila and Sanjana. 

4. Modern Love Chennai 

Modern Love is a medley of endearing love stories. Amazon made this show already in English and it is a major hit. ‘Modern Love Chennai’ is directed by Bharathi Raja, Balaji Sakthivel, Raju Murugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, Akshay Sundher, written by Balaji Tharaneetharan, Rajumurugan, Reshma Ghatala, Pratheep Kumar, Thiagarajan Kumararaja. Thiagarajan Kumararaja will also serve as the creative producer. It stars Kishore, Ramya Nambeesan, Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Vijayalakshmi, TJ Banu, Gouri Reddy, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Vasudevan Murali, Chu Khoy Sheng, Sanjula S. 

5. Modern Love Hyderabad (Telugu) 

Modern Love Hyderabad is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Venkatesh Maha, Uday Gurrala, Devika Bahudanam, written by Nagesh Kukunoor, Shashi Sudigala, Bahaish Kapoor. Nagesh Kukunoor is also serving as the creative producer. It stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Nithya Menen, Ritu Varma, Suhasini Maniratnam, Revathy, Naresh, Malavika Nair, Abijeet Duddala, Naresh Agastya, Komalee Prasad, Ulka Gupta.
