Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Coolie No 1' is one of the most hyped upcoming films. Due to pandemic, the film was set for an OTT release on the streaming giant, Amazon Prime. Amazon paid a hefty dum for the streaming rights of the film. However, as the movie theaters are beginning to open, people wondered if there can be a chance of hybrid release of the film.

The multiplex theatre owners weren't happy with sharing the release with a steaming service but the single screen theater owners had no problems. Makers of 'Coolie No 1' had a discussion with Amazon about the same and Amazon has made it clear that they won't be sharing the release with any movie theater. The film will release exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Makers and single screen theatre owners as well as a part of audience aren't happy with this decision.
