A few weeks ago, a husband allegedly murdered his wife in the US State of Florida. Nobody witnessed the murder and the prosecution has been unable to produce any human witness in the case. But, wait! All is not over yet. The prosecution may just have found a witness and it's not a human but the Amazon smart device named Alexa!
The 43-year old Adam Crespo reportedly killed his 32-year old wife Sylvia Galva Crespo with a spear at their home in Hallandale Beach, Florida in July. And, Alexa was in the same room, making recordings of the sounds produced during the murder.
"The Florida police thinks that there may be some evidence recorded on Amazon servers through these home devices," reports Gadgets Now. The recordings on the smart devices have been sent for forensic analysis.
The news has fascinated many. "Alexa as a potential witness to a murder. This really does feel like a brave new world," a Twitter user said. But not many are liking it. "If Alexa keeps listening in even without prompting, she might just witness her own murder. She is becoming quite obnoxious," another user lamented.
