Not many in Andhra Pradesh know that sections of the media in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu have linked Amala Paul to her director, Vijay. They first said that Vijay and Amala Paul were seeing each other, that they were in a serious relationship, and so forth. In the recent days, however, they wrote off the relationship by giving a new twist to the story: that they have decided to call it quits.

For Vijay, of course, everything is false. "Break-ups can happen only if two adults see each other. How can there be a break-up when nothing is there between me and Amala Paul? She is my good friend and we are still in touch. But there is nothing personal between us," he says.

Dubbing the reports as utter rubbish, Vijay says, "I wonder the reason behind publishing such baseless reports without verifying the facts. I am busy with my films and I have no time for other things."

On her part, Amala Paul has also maintained in the past that nothing on the level of love ever existed between them.
