Yesterday saw a huge move made by the BJP lead central government as home minister Amit Shah announced the scrapping of Article 370 and Article 35a, removing special privileges given to people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Now Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh are separate union territories and the former alone has a legislature. After this announcement many celebrities tweeted their support as well as opposition to the move. Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan has condemned this move by the government.

On the other hand this move was welcome by many and one among them was actress Amala Paul who tweeted "#Article370Abolished : IMO it's a healthy, hopeful, and much needed change.
