According to the latest update, Mollywood Megastar Mammootty will be teaming up with hit maker, director B Unnikrishnan for an upcoming movie. The yet-to-be-titled project went on floors recently with a customary movie launch ceremony. Actor Shine Tom Chacko, who is part of the cast, shared a picture from the movie's pooja and penned, “Has gone on floors today.” Take a look -

Director Udayakrishna who had previously scripted the blockbuster Mohanlal movie ‘Pulimurugan’, is scripting the upcoming film. The rumour mills suggest that Mammootty is playing a cop in the highly anticipated project. Billed as a big budget entertainer, the team has roped in actress Aishwarya Lekshmi to play the female lead along with actors Sneha, Amala Paul, Jinu Joseph, and Dileesh Pothan playing pivotal roles. It is rumoured that actress Amala Paul and Sneha are also likely to be part of the cast. For now, lets wait for an official announcement on the same.

Superstar Mammootty had previously teamed up with director B Unnikrishnan for the film ‘Pramani’ which was released in the year 2010. Although the film received mixed responses from the audience, Mammootty’s character Viswanatha Panicker got much recognition. Meanwhile, Mammootty will next be seen in Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, which marks the actor's first collaboration with director Lijo Jose Pellissery. He also has Rorschach which is helmed by Nissam Basheer.
