Producer AM Rathnam has been promoting the re-release of 'Kushi', which hits the screens on December 31. It's going to be a week-long screening across the Telugu States majorly. If the response is encouraging, the film will continue to be screened for the second week as well.
In an interview, Rathnam spoke about 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', his next film with Pawan Kalyan. He called it a pan-India film.
"Kamal Haasan's 'Bharateeyudu' (1996), which I produced, was a hit across India. The subject was like that. I have a feeling that 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' will become a bigger hit in the North than in South India. The Northerns will connect with its subject more. Recently, we shot a sequence and it is so extraordinary. Kalyan garu has nailed the action part," Rathnam said.
"I planned to make 'Satyagrahi' with Kalyan garu (around the mid- 2000s). It was Kalyan garu's idea. The concept was grand. AR Rahman and PC Sreeram were its music director and cinematographer, respectively. Since 'Johnny' flopped, he was not inclined to take it forward. Otherwise, the film would surely have been made," Rathnam said.
The producer has got plans to do '7/G Brindavan Colony 2'. The same director and hero who were seen in '7/G' will be doing it.
