Filmmaker Alphonse Puthren has unveiled his exciting new project! Titled "Gift," the upcoming Tamil film was announced by the director himself on social media, accompanied by a captivating poster. Puthren took to Twitter to share the poster, simply captioning it as "#GIFT."

The star-studded cast of "Gift" includes Sandy, Kovai Sarala, Sahana Sarvesh, Sampath Raj, Raahul, Charlie, Raichal Rabecca, Crawford, Gopalan Palakkad, and Cycle Mani. Produced by Romeo Pictures, the movie has already commenced filming. Adding to the anticipation, the legendary music maestro Ilaiyaraaja will be composing the music for the film. Puthren had previously expressed his excitement about collaborating with Ilaiyaraaja, sharing a photo and mentioning their upcoming project.

This marks Puthren's return to the Tamil film industry after his notable works like "Neram" (2013), a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, and the segment "Eli" in the Tamil anthology "Aviyal" (2016). However, his last film "Gold" received mixed reviews upon its release in December last year. Despite high expectations, the film failed to meet audience expectations, leading to criticism directed at Puthren online.

Nevertheless, with "Gift," Alphonse Puthren is poised to make a strong comeback, and fans are eagerly anticipating his unique storytelling and the magic he creates on screen.
