In a perfect casting coup, Ekta Kapoor thought it would be rather amusing to get the sanskari` Alok Nath to play a part in the third sequel of the KYA KOOL HAI HUM franchise. The Bollywood epitome of all things traditional and polite, Alok Nath was to play a sleazy old man in the film, whose dialogues has a lot of double innuendos.
However when the production house approached Nath, staying true to his onscreen character, the actor politely refused to the film. According to the production house, Alok Nath was not comfortable moving away from his onscreen personality.
Confirming the news, Alok Nath said, "Yes, they did approach me with something I have never done in my entire career. Suddenly, if I were to be seen in a sex comedy, it wouldn`t be acceptable to my fans. They were asking me to play the role of Tusshar`s potential father-in-law and the dialogues were pretty much in sync with the franchise`s USP. As an actor, I admit, I should experiment with different characters, but I couldn`t see myself doing anything so drastic."
Clearly, once a sanskari, always a sanskari!
