Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and his wife Supriya Menon often share a glimpse of their daughter Alankrita's activities and writings. Infact, most of the posts the couple share about Alankrita wowed netizens. A day ago, Supriya shared a post about her daughter's new wish.

Alankrita's recent wish is to go to Syria to meet the 22-year-old Syrian swimmer Yusra Mardini. Both Prithviraj and Supriya were also shocked to hear that their daughter was talking about acclaimed swimmer after learning about her from a book titled 'Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls'.

Sharing the incident, Surpiya wrote “So dinner time today was family time as Daada made it back home today. Between discussions on where could we go for our next break Ally surprised us both by saying she wants to go to Syria! When asked why, Ally said that’s where Yusra Mardini stayed, one of the rebel girls! Now Daada and I were shell shocked at this unusual choice but had no idea who she was. Ally then proceeded to educate her parents about Yusra! We are still reeling from the conversation!The things today’s 6 year olds know! Ally’s current favourite book!”

Surpiya also shared a picture from the page where Yusra Mardini’s story is featured. Soon she traced Yusra on Instagram and also dropped a message to her saying that Ally had read about her and couldn’t wait to meet her, and the Olympian responded. “That’s so sweet,” the Olympian wrote. “I saw the post and am myself a fan of Indian movies. I used to watch when I was younger with my family.”

Sharing the screenshot of their conversation, Supriya wrote," Thank you @mardiniysra for making Ally’s day! She says she can’t believe it and she is super super excited to receive a message and a voice note back from you! Ally hopes to meet you someday! Thank you once again for inspiring so many young girls! ❤️"
