Megastar Chiranjeevi on Saturday inaugurated the Allu Studios in Hyderabad. The studio is owned by the Allu family.
Sharing the news on social media, Allu Arjun said that the studio has been launched on the centenary birthday of his grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah. "Our beloved foundation. The man who changed the course of our lives. We will always miss him," the 'Pushpa' actor wrote, using the hashtag #ARG100.
The 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actor also thanked Chiru for doing the honours. Speaking at the inaugural, Bunny said that the studio hasn't been set up to make money. "It was not an easy thing to set up the studio. We did it in order to fulfill our grandfather's desire," the Icon Star said.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi said that it's because Ramalingaiah wanted to become an actor that a strong foundation has been laid for his descendants. "He moved from Palakollu to Madras with the aim of becoming an artist. Allu Studios is like a status symbol," the 'GodFather' actor added.
Ram Charan took to social media and paid homage to the legendary Ramalingaiah. "Today marks the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Allu Ramalingaiah Garu!! Proud to call him my grandfather. Remembering him, as always! (sic)," the 'Rangasthalam' actor wrote.
