At a time when Telugu films are unabashed remakes or dubed ones, there is some good news that the reverse is also working.

Some popular Telugu movies are being dubbed in other languages, notably Malayalam. Almost all the movies that Meera Jasmine has starred in Telugu have been dubbed in Malayalam.

Meera being a big attraction in her home State that was understandable.

But other movies are also being dubbed there. Allu Arjun’s Arya is a good example. This Sukumar directed youthful love story has been dubbed in Malayalam recently.

There seems to be a good market for well made Telugu masala movies there.

Arya’s Amalapuram song is one of the chartbusters there and Allu Arjun’s dances have gone down well with the public.
