Allu Arjun shows gratitude as DJ turns three years old

It was on this day (June 23) in 2017 that 'Duvvada Jagannadham' hit the screens. On the back of Allu Arjun's image, the vigilant action-comedy drama went on to become a big hit. The 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actor and his director, Harish Shankar, on Tuesday got nostalgic about the box-office success.

"3 years of DJ! Thank you Harish Shankar garu for all the entertainment on and off the screen. Special thanks to Dil Raju garu, Pooja Hegde, my friend Devi Sri Prasad and many more. One of my most memorable films. I thank all the cast, crew and audience of DJ and most importantly My Army (referring to fans)," the Stylish Star tweeted.

Acknowledging the 'Thank You' note from Bunny, the 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' director wrote that he will always be indebted to him for all his support and dedication. "This was my second Rs 20 Cr+ movie in Nizam. DJ is always a special film which gave me special friends," the 'Gabbar Singh' director tweeted.

Starring also Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Murli Sharma and Chandramohan, the massy film had some excellent songs, especially 'Seeti Maar' and the title track. It also made Pooja a star heroine in Tollywood. Bunny's fans enjoyed the formulaic story.
