The resounding success of 'Pushpa: The Rise' has made 'Pushpa: The Rule' one of the most-anticipated sequels. By now, the second part should have completed at least 30% of its shoot. But the progress has been snail-paced. Sukumar might kick off the shoot after the 20th of this month.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has given a hint that the film might hit the screens only in late 2023 in the best-case scenario. Speaking at the 'CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2022’ Award event in New Delhi on Wednesday, here is what Bunny said when asked about the release date of 'Pushpa 2': “We are going to start shooting now. Hopefully next year (the film will be released)."
Did the Icon Star use the word 'hopefully' casually or intentionally? If it was used consciously, then there are chances that Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings don't rule out the possibility of 'Pushpa 2' getting released only in early 2024.
Meanwhile, 'Pushpa' recently had a clean sweet at the Filmfare Awards South 2022. The Sukumar directorial won awards in the prestigious categories, namely, Best Actor, Best Film and Best Director. Devi Sri Prasad also won the Best Music Director Award, while Miroslaw Kuba Brozek won the Best Cinematographer Award.
