Allu Aravind held a press meet on Thursday afternoon to lambast Ram Gopal Varma, who last night confessed to being the one who prodded Sri Reddy to abuse Pawan Kalyan.
"Everybody knows that Varma is a mean fellow. We have always maintained distance from him. He has betrayed the film industry that is like his mother. RGV doesn't like the Mega family," the Mega family producer said.
"Someone is definitely behind him. How did he expect Suresh Babu to give Rs. 5 Cr to make a settlement with Sri Reddy?" he asked. "In law, the one who instigates someone to commit a crime receives a higher quantum of punishment than the one who commits the crime. Varma is both intelligent and a crook. He is an intelligent crook," Aravind blasted.
"There is a conspiracy to dwindle the stature of Pawan Kalyan, who is doing a lonely battle in politics. By getting Sri Reddy make provocative remarks, did RGV aim at affecting Pawan Kalyan's image in the expectation that his (PK's) fans will physically attack her?" Aravind questioned.
"Out of respect for Pawan Kalyan's political mission, we (in the Mega family) have all along let him be. The kind of plots that happened during PRP days are happening once again," Aravind said, suggesting it can't be tolerated anymore.
Asked if RGV will be banned, Aravind said, "It's against rules set by Competition Commission. I can't say ban RGV. We have to go by the rules. It's up to the industry elders to decide what they want to do with RGV."
