Alleged 'honour killing' of Indian Muslim teen

Two men have been charged with kidnapping, raping and murdering a 19-year-old Indian Muslim teen in the UK. The issue came to light when a woman, hospitalized with a slit throat, informed the police.

The prosecutor alleged that it was a case of honour killing as the Indian teen was involved in a relationship with an Arab Muslim, of which the girl`s family didn`t approve. Two women were kidnapped in this case; the Indian teen was only one killed. Mujahid Arshid, charged with murder, rape and kidnap, and Vicent Tappu, charged with kidnap, are said to have been employed by the girl`s family to commit the honour killing`. The two await trial in UK courts.
