It was the promotional event of the latest movie 'Kudumbasree Travels' and no one expected such a costly revelation in such a programme. It was the famous artist P. Sreekumar, who for the first time in the history of 15 year old IFFK came up with an allegation, that its decision on awards were not fare and right.
Almost a month after the announcement of Suvarna Chakoram Award of IFFK 2010, the actor reveals that it was initially decided to give away the 'Suvarna Chakoram' to Malayalam movie Mohan Raghavan's 'T D Dasan Std VI B'. But the decision was changed later and the award went to 'Portraits in a Sea of Lies' to please the foreign delagates and media so that the interest in the festival will not be lessened. Though Sreekumar was informed about this by a friend working with the visual media, he made it clear that he has not got any substantial proof on the allegation. The actor also said that he was making this public as he finds that there is a need to support the young directors of the state who comes up with promising endeavours.
