While most of his movies do well at the BO, never mind the trashing they get from the critics, is there any area in which the comedy hero Allari Naresh has failed? He experimented and failed in a particular area.

Speaking to an English-language daily, the actor has said that he did Ravi Babu's 'Laddu Babu' and Mohankrishna Indraganti's 'Bandipotu' to reach out to multiplex audience. As the experiment backfired, Naresh says, he is back to doing films that cater to 'B' and 'C' centre audiences.

The actor has indeed got it right. Although 'Laddu Babu' was a reasonably good entertainer, it failed because Naresh has not many takers among the audience it was targeted at. He delivered a good performance in that film, but that too went in vain. The writing on the wall for entertainers like him is that you shouldn't act in movies that are neither here nor there.

The 'allari' hero now awaits the release of 'Intlo Dayyam-Nakem Bhayam', which has been postponed unduly.
