Allahabad High Court responds to the case against the producers of Mirzapur

Arguably the best recieved web show 'Mirzapur' has controversies circling around it. Few days ago, a case was filed against the producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment for the negative and indecent portrayal of the town of Mirzapur in the titular web series.

The Allahabad High Court on Friday stayed the arrest of both the producers and directed them to cooperate with the investigation. The court also issued notice to the Uttar Pradesh Government and complainant seeking their replies.

Both the seasons of 'Mirzapur' are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The show has a dark theme and features heavy violence, explicit nudity and overall criminal environment of Uttar Pradesh.
