Delhi is all set to have the world's largest Covid-19 care centre. The Radha Soami Satsang Beas centre has been successfully and diligently converted into a 10,000-bed coronavirus hospital.
To be opened on July 1, the centre will be serviced by doctors from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Indian Army and other paramilitary forces. As many as 10% of the beds will have oxygen facility, reports say. Critical patients will be sent to a super speciality centre, ANI quotes an official as saying.
The air-conditioned facility has beds made out of cardboard. Each of the centre's 100 blocks will be served by dedicated doctors, ward boys, cleaners, etc.
Besides 500 urinals, 450 bathrooms and 300 wheel-chairs spread over 29 acres, the facility will have a lot of other welcome features.
