All you need to know about upcoming TEDx Hyderabad edition

TEDx Hyderabad is to host the fourth edition of the TEDx Hyderabad 2018 event at JRC Conventions & Trade Fairs, Hyderabad on 16th September 2018 amid exceptional ReThink’ers. The theme for the full day event this year is ‘ReThink’. In this regard, the organizers have issued a press statement.

The event will feature 14 exemplary speakers from diverse backgrounds like sports, governance, design, education, gender equality, motivation, who are ReThink’ers and will convince the 2500+ participants about the power of ‘RETHINKING’. The speakers among others will include Anshul Sinha, Colleen Lightbody, Sanjay Thumma, S K Joshi, Gen V K Singh (Retd) and Vijay Chadda. These ReThink’ers emerged when they questioned the status quo, to drive results beyond simple possibilities.

Each talk will be curated to 18 minutes or less, bringing out the best takeaway for the 2500+ curated attendees. Local and global performers will regale the audience with powerful performances. To create exclusive experiences, an ‘Experience Zone’ at the venue will showcase different new technologies, innovation and work on sustainability. And there will be ample opportunities to network with like-minded Rethink’ers.

According to Viiveck Verma, Curator of TEDx Hyderabad, “We are trying to build the intellectual stimulation that the city requires through this event and its power of ideas. The response from the audience here has been phenomenal. From just 500 attendees in 2015, the number jumped to 2,000 in 2017 and is expected to grow at the same pace this year as well. We also see a lot of corporate interest and participation at our events.”

Says Dr. Anthony Vipin Das, co-organizer of the event, “TEDx Hyderabad is not about organizing yet another TEDx event. We have been trying to build a community of Thinkers, Enablers and Doers within Hyderabad. TedX Hyderabad 2018 promises to be a full day of 14 brilliant speakers, mind-blowing conversations, thought-provoking videos and fabulous networking opportunities.”

TEDx events in Hyderabad are organized by the members of a not-for-profit society – SAHE (Society for Advancement of Human Endeavour). SAHE is also involved in several community-driven projects in the city of Hyderabad. In the past, the team has organized. TEDxHyderabadLive – a live streaming of talks as they happen; TEDxHyderabadWomen – an interactive session with live talks from the main TEDWomen event; TEDxHyderabad – a flagship speaker event and TEDxYouth@Hyderabad targeted at a younger teen audience, besides taking up various community projects around environment, education and social causes.
