Director Feroz Abbas Khan, who released a five-episode courtroom drama web series on sex education titled "Sex Ki Adalat" last month, believes every project does not need a well known actor's association as it's the content that eventually drives the show.
Khan's series, available on YouTube, covers taboo and debatable topics like India's obsession with male child, virginity, masturbation and menstruation, infused with scientific facts in the form of a courtroom drama.
However, the series is devoid of big film actors following in accordance with the latest trend of big screen actors working for the digital platform.
Khan told: "Many a times it depends on what your content is, and accordingly you do the casting. When I made the musical 'Mughal-e-Azam', many people asked me this question. Today, it is the biggest hit. It does not have a single known name like that.
"Some of the most popular projects on social media have not a single big name but were big because of the content. Internet is a very different world. It can clearly absolutely trend on the strength of the content."
