All not well between Jai-Saravanan?

It seems all is not well between Jai and Saravanan, the protagonist and the director of 'Valiyavan', respectively. Remember the two had rendered 'Engeyum Eppodhum' earlier.
Jai was not present at the recent press meet of 'Valiyavan' and when reporters questioned Saravanan about the actor's absence, he requested them to talk about people who were present there.
Meanwhile, some sources claim that Jai is following the route of Ajith when it comes to promotion of movies- that to stay out of such events.
